What we collect
Free scan: the website address you submit, the business details you confirm, the questions and competitors you choose, and your interface/analysis language. If you choose to receive the report by email, your email address, only with your consent. We store a salted hash of your IP address for abuse prevention, not the address itself.
Account: your email address, display name, language preferences and the content you create in the workspace. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
How we use it
To run the analysis you requested, produce your report, operate your account and subscription, send service emails you asked for, secure the service and prevent abuse. We do not require marketing consent to deliver a report and we do not sell personal data.
Questions from your scan are sent to the AI providers used for the analysis (for example OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Perplexity, depending on configuration). Your website's public text may be sent to an AI provider to suggest a business profile. We do not send your account email address to these providers.
Website analysis
We identify ourselves as CiteonBot, respect robots.txt, read only a few public pages and treat their content as untrusted data.
Retention and your rights
Anonymous scans expire after 14 days if not linked to an account. You can export your data and delete your account from the settings page; deletion removes your workspace data. Where the GDPR applies you also have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and may complain to your supervisory authority.
Analytics and cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and your language choice. Product analytics records anonymous event names such as 'scan started' without personal data. We do not use advertising cookies.
